Communicating in Love: Shincheonji Andre Church Hosts "Refreshing Happiness Gathering" in Celebration of Family Month

Celebrating Family and Faith in May

Andrew Church of Andrew Tribe of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of Testimony, recently held a special gathering highlighting the importance of communication and love within families.

In celebration of Family Month, Andrew Church hosted the "Refreshing Happiness Gathering" at the Andrew Training Center on May 31.

The event was carefully designed to help believers build stronger relationships with their fellow cell members, open their hearts through meaningful and joyful experiences, and deepen their commitment to a steadfast life of faith.

Held in two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, the gathering brought together approximately 5,000 believers, who spent meaningful time communicating, connecting, and building mutual understanding.

"Dad's Language": A Musical on the Power of Empathy

Before the main event, attendees watched an original musical titled "Dad's Language,"which deeply resonated with the audience by highlighting the importance of communication within the family.

The musical realistically portrayed a once-harmonious family that gradually fell into conflict as communication broke down and the children began their journey of faith before their parents, leading to misunderstandings and a lack of mutual understanding.

Rather than trying to change one another, the family members made an effort to understand each other's feelings and unique ways of expressing themselves.

By ultimately learning to understand "Dad's Language" and restoring their relationships, the musical beautifully conveyed the true meaning of communication and empathy.

Leadership Insights on Healthy Relationships

Following the musical, Lead Instructor Jung-woo Lee emphasized the importance of family communication and meaningful dialogue aimed at understanding one another.

"Since everyone has different thoughts, feelings, and ways of expressing themselves, an effort to understand the other person’s language is absolutely necessary," the leader noted.

He added, "Conversation is not achieved through the effort of just one person, but is possible when we open our hearts to each other and share our stories."

He concluded by saying, "We can build happier families and stronger lives of faith when we choose understanding over misunderstanding and show respect and consideration for one another. Let us foster relationships that support and encourage one another within our families and cell groups."

Reflections from Members

The event left a lasting impression on the attendees, who shared how deeply the gathering moved them.

Kim Dong-hyun (40s, male), a member who attended the event, shared, "Watching the musical made me realize once again how important conversation with family is. It inspired me to share with my family the love and feelings I usually keep inside."

Another member, Kim Ji-hyun, a female member in her 30s, expressed her joy, saying, "I had a truly meaningful time laughing, sharing, and connecting with my fellow cell members. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to grow closer in faith."

Joy, Connection, and Looking Forward

To make the day even brighter, the venue featured various activity booths, including gift shops, popcorn stations, photo zones, and encouragement counseling booths.

Designated seating areas also gave attendees an opportunity to sit together, talk, and build stronger connections in a relaxed atmosphere.

An official from Andrew Church stated, "We organized this Family Month event so that our members could appreciate one another more deeply and cultivate a joyful culture of faith."

The official added, "We will continue to foster communication and harmony among our members through diverse programs that encompass all generations and backgrounds."
